The Verdict

A fully sustainable oyster bar is coming to Manly and yes—that does mean that there’ll be oysters. Located right across from the beach, Arthur’s Oysters and Seafood has the laid back vibes of an ocean-front venue, combined with those fine dining feels that are typical of a top notch seafood restaurant.

You can order fresh oysters au naturale, or step things up with the oyster tartare, served with smoked Jerusalem artichoke, diced steak and hot horseradish chips. Another winner is the macadamia prawns with sweet potato meringues (YES), freeze-dried lychee and cranberry jus.

Pair your seafood with one of the six rotational wines, hailing from the Oakley Winery in the Hunter Valley, or a locally sourced beer by NOMAD (yes, that NOMAD).

Arthur’s is also serving up their twist on the humble avo toast, with chef Jason Wright turning it into an ice-cream. Yep, all that creamy crunchy goodness is re-invented here as a dessert and we need this goodness in our lives. Speaking of dessert, you can also opt for the re-imagined PB&J—with griddle brioche, jam ice-cream, peanut butter ganache, topped with chocolate popping candy and raspberry, it’s going to be epic.
