Brighton-Le-Sands has welcomed a new (big) kid on the block with the arrival of Benetti’s, a generous Southern Italian restaurant inside The Brighton Hotel.
Sitting along The Grand Parade, this spot leans into relaxed, share-style dining. In the kitchen, Puglia-born chef Mariocristian Carella is working within a familiar Italian framework, keeping things loose and ingredient-led. Pasta is made fresh on site, pizzas come straight out of a wood-fired oven, and there’s a clear seafood thread running through the menu.
Alongside the classics, you’ll find crowd-pleasers like kingfish crudo with pomelo and burrata with heirloom tomatoes to start, followed by larger plates like veal Milanese, snapper acqua pazza and a full Italian seafood stew. Dessert sticks to the same script, and the tiramisu—finished at the table—is definitely one to lock in.
Open from midday through to midnight, the aim is to create a venue that works across the day—somewhere you can drop in post-swim, settle into a long lunch or circle back later in the evening. Inside, subtle nods to coastal Italy come through in light-toned walls and marble details, while the layout caters to both smaller tables and bigger groups. Out front, a takeaway window keeps things moving for anyone heading to or from the beach.
Part of a growing run of venues at The Brighton, Benetti’s is made for repeat visits—and with a menu like this, it’s bound to find its way into your weekly rotation.
