The verdict

The long awaited Sydney instalment of Bistro Guillaume has finally opened its doors on George Street and the 130-seat restaurant is serving the same delicious French bistro classics you would expect if you have ever visited his Melbourne and Perth restaurants.

There are two dining areas and the main dining room will be serving breakfast and lunch, while the smaller, casual bar area will serve light lunches throughout the day and drinks at night. Bistro Guillaume is open for dinner of Saturday nights only to start and you should probably order the roasted Barossa chicken with tarragon and Paris mash. It would be wrong not to, right?

Assuming you love dessert as much as we do, you'll be pretty damn pleased to hear they've added a petit four trolley to their trolley repertoire. Yep, dessert yum cha now totally exists. Expect treats like passionfruit jellies and Valrhona chocolate truffles to salted caramels and raspberry tartlets making the rounds. We'll forgive you for skipping mains and heading straight for dessert.
