The verdict

Bistro on the Greens is South Coogee Bowling Club’s fresh new (you guessed it) bistro. This one is light and bright, with a flowing floor outdoor slash indoor space that brings the salty sea breeze all day long.

In fact, greenery is literally everywhere—from the banana leaf and palm frond wallpaper to the dewy ferns flowing from the ceiling, so yep, it’s completely insta-worthy.

When it comes to the food it’s all about the share plate and you know what that means team, no FOMO. Tuck into arancini di zucca, a huuuuge selection of wood-fired pizzas and for your hungry friend (there’s always one) The Greens “mega burger”. It’ll definitely give you that pre-game energy boost before you hit up the bare foot bowls.

Visually, it’s far from your average bowlo. But you can still expect the traditional bistro dishes you know and love like pasta, chicken parmis and beef nachos. You’ll want to order the basket of sweet potato fries, obvs. And no visit is complete without a taste of their signature fluffy AF home-made tiramisu because dessert = life.

Owners Filomena and Gary Di Paola wanted to create a real community, with a home-away-from-home vibe and there’s even a kids play area. Family fun day just got a whole lot more fun.
