The verdict

There are some things that will just never go out of style and classic French food that's done bloody well, is absolutely one of those things. At Bistro Papillon, the menu is filled with winners like onion soup topped with a big fat cheesy gruyere crouton, escargots de Bourgogne (AKA buttery garlic snails) and a rich red wine boeuf bourguignon that is everything you want on a chilly evening. 

While we plan to order up big on all things Frenchy, we’ll also be eating our weight in raclette. They keep it traditional with entrees of tarte flambee, escargot and Nicoise salad before they really pile on the good stuff. The raclette is served exactly how it should be, with a selection of cured and smoked meat, potatoes, baguette and condiments. They had us at melted cheese.
