Lovers of the Lord Gladstone and Lady Hampshire now have another new stomping ground to mix into the rotation of already winning pubs (hello, have you tried the tacos at The Lady Hampshire?) and we are guessing that you’ll be as happy about this one as we are. Botany View Hotel has been a staple on the Newtown pub scene since basically forever, but now it’s had a facelift and we have a feeling that you're about to start spending a lot more time down South King Street .
Along with the revamp has come a new dining room that serves up classic pub grub, as well as a few newbies. We’re excited for the vegetarian mixed place that involves things like zucchini fritters, creamy fried halloumi, falafel, smoky baba ganoush, zingy beetroot relish, tabouli, pickled radish AND pita bread. Are you even ready for this feast? Meat lovers, don’t start panicking just yet, because they’re also dishing up a pretty mean wagyu beef burger, topped with jamon, relish and raclette (!!) on a brioche bun. Yep, they've got you.
Head to the bar for a cheeky schooner, order a feast and then settle in to the sounds of pumping live music. You'll seriously wonder what you did before this place came back into your life.
