Brooklyn Depot Burgers & Brew

The verdict

After massive success in the Gold Coast, Brooklyn Depot Burgers & Brew have headed down to Sydney, setting up shop in Surry Hills. The menu is extensive, inspired by Old Brooklyn and offers 13 different burgers in addition to sides, share plates, American fried faves and shakes and desserts.  

It’s safe to say that you won’t go hungry (or thirsty) here, and we wouldn’t blame you for getting overwhelmed when ordering. If all else fails, stick with the Brooklyn Classic burger; starting with a grass fed beef patty it is then layered with American cheese, oak leaf lettuce, tomato and Depot special sauce and the Chicky Babe burger complete with buttermilk chicken cowboy caviar and chipotle mayo. Or, if you are up for the challenge, the FUHGEDDABOUDIT burger is as much fun to say as it is to eat. Loaded up with chilli con carne and injected with hot sauce (the level of hotness is up to you), it's a beast of a thing but well worth the resuting food coma.

Fries are a must here and we suggested going in hard on the garbage fries which come with bacon, onion strings, cheese and frickles) or the cheese and gravy fries. If burgers and fries aren't your jam, the beef chilli bowl is a staff fave and the hot dogs will fill that bun-shaped hole in your life.

Drinks are flowing here at Brooklyn Depot and whether you're after an ice cold beer or one of their specialty cocktails, these guys have got you covered.

If you can't face leaving your home or desk, they also offer delivery which means you can get some sweet, sweet burgs into your life without having to move. And isn't that one of life's greatest pleasures?
