The Verdict
A Paddington institution since 1987, Buon Ricordo serves (actually) authentic, inimitable Italian cuisine in a polished, romantic sort of setting that will totally transport your senses to an evening in Naples. It's one of Sydney's most iconic restaurants and there is a menu full of reasons why we are still head over heels in love with this one.
After 30 years at the helm of Buon Ricordo, in 2018 founder and chef Armando Percuoco handed over the reigns of Buon Ricordo to his protégé and long-serving head chef, David Wright.
The menu fuses classic dishes with chef Armando Percuoco’s signature dishes, such as Fettuccine al Tartufovo and Bracioletta Reginaldo. Buon Ricordo also boasts an award-winning wine list, with emphasis on Barolo and Southern Italian drops.
Buon Ricordo escapes fads and traditions and is focused much more on timeless ingredients and the romance and experience of dining out. It's easily one of Sydney's greatest restaurant experiences, an unmissable stop on the map of our very best plates of pasta, and somewhere you absolutely must go at least once.
