Some people go to tennis clubs to get active, we go for the food. Casa Do Benfica at Marrickville Tennis Club is the perfect spot for our favourite kind of activity—eating! Hidden behind the club (and easily mistaken for an old RSL), this modest restaurant is one of Sydney’s best kept secrets and offers some of the best Portuguese in town. Portions are massive and the menu is packed with options, so gather the troops and head down for some grilled seafood, beef skewers and our personal favourite, molotof. A distant relative of our very own pavlova, the molotof is a soft meringue sandwiched with lemony custard.
