The Verdict:
Nahji Chu (of former Miss Chu glory), is undertaking a new pursuit, and boi oh boi we couldn’t be more excited. Cha Li Boi, is revamping yum cha in allll the right ways. But what’s wrong with the current Chinese-styled brunch, you ask? For Chu, this question would probably be answered with ‘It’s outdated’. Which is why she and her team are throwing a spanner in the wok’s (see what we did there?).
The modern-styled yum cha hall promises no MSG, and vegan and gluten free options that will have your meat and bread loving friends totally converted by the end of the meal. Although Chu is offering up some current food trend ops, dishes including DIY Peking duck pancakes and Xiao long bao (served with a straw to slurp up the juicy goodness #win) can be expected on the menu. With dim sum shaped in the form Pac-man and menu names such as “Ling My Bell”, Cha Li Boi is our set to become our fave new brunch destination. Cha feel?
