the verdict

Ex-Hotel Palisade chef Nahid Hossain, has opened up the latest Chatswood offering: a Latin American joint ft. chorizo by the tonne, and everything covered in cheese. Don’t let the intentional mis-spelled name put you off, there

Perfect for a breaky, lunch, or a spot of brunch in between, Chimichuri has rocked the ‘Cuban melt’: pulled pork, double smoked ham, fried egg, rocket, cheese and a secret sauce served in a baguette. Alternatively, the Piggy Mac Bowl is wholly audacious: bowl of macaroni, béchamel, braised pork, bacon, chorizo and mushroom covered in, you guessed it, cheese!

An open air space with an impressive feature wall, Hossain’s wife takes care of all things drinks: and most importantly, the coffee, which is pretty good by our (very) high standards.
