Located in the leafy streets of Double Bay, Circa Restaurant and Bar is a local go-to, offering plenty of rosé, an open seafood bar, and al fresco dining. It’s one of those places that does boozy brunch on weekends and has people wining and dining well after the sun has gone down.

Co-owner Anthony Prior has assembled together an unbeatable team, with Sam Score (ex-The Winery and North Bondi Fish) as general manager and Andrea Bettini—who has worked in kitchens in London and Milan—behind the pass.

Food-wise, Circa focuses on Southeast Asian-inspired and Japanese share-style plates. No doubt you'll want to order the crowd-favourites like the Moreton Bay bug spring roll, soft shell crab sliders, wagyu katsu sando, and the spicy tuna hellfire roll.

The seafood-heavy menu pairs well with Circa's long list of rosé—and we mean long. But, if you really want to take things up a gear, you'll want to book in for its weekend Brunch Club. Every Saturday and Sunday, the restaurant opens its doors at 10am to serve brunch dishes such as lobster rolls, fried chicken and waffles, and crab omelettes.

As for the space, the indoor-outdoor design allows for seamless day-to-night vibes. But Circa also has a certain level of sophistication thanks to its palette of brass accents and rich timber, as well as features like the curved marble bar, plush banquettes, and terrace-style booths for larger groups.
