Prepare your taste buds for some seriously delicious eats people because from the ashes of Bao Stop, rises Cloud Thief!

After blowing everyone’s bellies away at the Night Noodle Markets in Sydney and Melbourne, Cloud Thief have opened up shop in World Square so that you can get your serve of their heavenly bao every day of the week.

With over ten bao on the menu, from the fried Singapore soft shell crab topped with black beans, pickled mustard greens and kewpie to the roast pork belly with crackling, Asian slaw, fresh coriander, hoisin sauce and kewpie mayo, these guys know what they’re doing. The spicy fried chicken bao is our top pick but (as per usual) we strongly suggest you order one of everything.

If you’re in the mood for something more substantial, the rice bowls are what you want to wrap your lips around. The braised pork belly with fresh coriander, pickled mustard greens, spring onion, cucumber, Asian slaw, red radish, lettuce, roasted peanuts AND kewpie mayo will keep you going all day and night and the crispy silken tofu bowl is a vegetarian’s dream.

Don’t go home without ordering a side of Peking duck fries (they’re famous for a reason) and if you’re there with a group, order at least two sides of the salt and pepper tofu nuggets and XO green beans. You won’t regret.

Perfect for when want to get out of the office for a quick bite or take a date somewhere super casual yet cool (where things won’t get awkward), Cloud Thief is never a bad idea.
