A Newtown institution, Coopers Hotel is a standout on King Street boasting an impressive craft beer, wine and cocktail selection. It’s casual by dress-code standards (so it’s already got the fist-pump of approval) and complete with an upstairs beer deck and stunning rooftop courtyard.

And what to eat? Well, how much time do you have? There’s an insane amount to choose from including tapas share plates, mains, roasts and sliders. Coopers’ stuffed zucchini flowers with heirloom tomatoes, basil and grated haloumi are a massive hit (read: you’ll want to order a few plates of it) and the four hour confit crispy pork belly is a game changer.
