The Verdict
Copper & Cocoa is a patisserie sensation. It first made a name for itself with their iconic cakes but, since making it big in the wide world of pastry, it has transformed from a bakery into an all-day cafe, serving up French-inspired treats. From traditional croissants to a French ploughman’s board featuring duck liver parfait, Branston pickles, baguette and a choice of camembert, vintage cheddar or blue vein cheese—this place is authentic and well worth a visit.
The cake range is epic, with lamington, red velvet and raspberry, salty caramel popcorn, pavlova, spiced carrot and the famous iced vovo cake with layered vanilla bean sponge, strawberry preserve and cream cheese buttercream, topped with marshmallow, shredded coconut and strawberry preserve. To wash it all down you can indulge in some coffee care of The Grounds, T2 or even a cocktail or a glass of wine from Copper & Cocoa’s full list of Aussie and French wines.
