The verdict

Cornersmith known for their pickles, preserves and general kindness to the environment, their customers and the community at large. Their menu is always changing, depending on not only the seasons, but also what is growing in abundance in the local’s backyards. For years they have been swapping produce goodies with Marrickville locals and now, it’s Annandale’s turn.

From the new cafe, you can expect a fully vegetarian menu with the same free-range egg dishes, delicious sides (their many slaw variations are the goods) and comforting bowls. Taking advantage of their close proximity to the park, they offer two picnic packages ($40 - $65) so you can hightail it to the lawn and lay out with your feast.

They also make some of the best coffee in Sydney and we don’t throw that claim around lightly. It should be reason enough to check this place out.
