The Gold Coast wellness destination that’s built a cult following among biohackers, athletes and recovery enthusiasts has officially landed in Sydney. CURE(8) is a science-backed wellness space now open in Double Bay, bringing everything from IV infusions and hyperbaric oxygen therapy to red light treatment and ice baths under one roof.
Founded by registered nurse Tash Friedman and co-founder Luke Friedman, CURE8 was created around the idea that wellbeing should extend beyond reactive healthcare. Rather than chasing wellness trends, the concept focuses on long-term recovery, restoration and everyday health through a combination of evidence-based therapies and ritual-led experiences.
The Double Bay outpost feels closer to a luxury wellness club than a traditional day spa. While IV vitamin infusions remain the brand's signature treatment, the offering stretches far beyond drips, with guests able to move between infrared saunas, ice baths, hyperbaric oxygen chambers, PEMF therapy, compression recovery systems and full-body red light therapy depending on their goals.
One of the more unique additions is the HOCATT Sauna—a multi-layered treatment that combines ozone therapy, infrared heat, therapeutic light, carbonic acid infusion and microcurrents in a single session. Meanwhile, athletes and gym regulars will likely gravitate towards NormaTec compression therapy and hyperbaric oxygen treatments designed to support recovery and reduce inflammation.
The experience is built around what CURE8 calls its eight pillars of wellness: oxygen, light, detoxification, hydration, nourishment, movement, stillness and connection. Together, they form the framework behind every treatment and recovery modality offered within the space.
Whether you're looking to optimise performance, recover from training or simply spend an hour away from the chaos of Sydney, CURE8 is positioning itself as a one-stop destination for modern wellness—bringing a slice of the Gold Coast's thriving recovery culture to the eastern suburbs.
