If you like your wine bars cosy and brimming with charm, De Vine Food & Wine on the corner of Clarence and Market streets in the CBD hits all the right notes.
De Vine has held the corner spot since way back in 2003, but these days it's run by restauranteur brothers Anthony and Julian Izzillo who have built up a very impressive collection of 400+ wines and, as a bit of a passion project, the largest collection of Amaro in the Southern Hemisphere.
90% of the wine list is natural, organic, and biodynamic with a strong focus on European varietals. Here, you're in for a full food menu too—think scallops topped with guanciale, heaped antipasti boards, fresh pasta (we recommend the wagyu ragu), and Tiramisu for dessert. This one's a real gem.
