The verdict
Deep Groove is the Newtown bar that lets you choose a drink, then your fave song, before settling back into your seat and waiting for your jam to come on. It’s basically like requesting a song from a DJ, without all of the awkward yelling and, you know, they’ll actually play your request. We recommend that you treat it like a love song dedication and really commit to the musical cause.
The bar is on King Street, so it’s extremely central and also extremely fun. The décor is chilled, with high tables, bar stools and a comfy looking couch to boot. We recommend that you head down at happy hour (because happy hour), which runs daily between 5pm and 7pm and will see you enjoying $10 cocktails. Can you really go wrong?
