best toasties cafe sydney

The verdict

Dutch Smuggler is known for cold brews, toasties and damn good coffee, and now they’ve moved in on the CBD. This is the second outpost by the team that brought cold brew to Broadway, but this time they’ve filled their menu with classic café-style dishes and a few weekly surprises.

Our clear fave though is the toastie menu. Here, you’ll find weekly specials like the ‘ramen empire’ (a combo of spicy Korean ramen noodles, kimchi, seaweed, a fried free-range egg and oozing cheddar) which we heard will be back in the new year. And we suggest that you let them know if you love it (which you will), because it may just become a permanent fixture on the menu. At least that’s the case with their mi goreng toastie—which is now here for a good time AND a long time. To paint you a picture, this bad boy involves two sliced of toast, stuffed with mi goreng noodles and a soft fried egg. Yep, we know. These guys do a mean noodle toastie.

In case there was ever any doubt that these guys are Sydney's toastie kings, they've just brought back their ramen toastie special (for this week only). This bad boy is stuffed with spicy Korean ramen Noodles, kimchi, seaweed, a gooey fried free-range egg and oozy cheddar. We die.

And because they just get us (and all things coffee related), Friday is now officially known as tini-day, which means that they’re serving up $10 espresso martinis from 12pm. Toasties and ‘tinis? It’s a yes from us.
