The Verdict
The fact is, a city can never be too overcrowded with florists, which is why you need to know about Sydney’s newest floral mecca dedicated to luscious blooms and whimsical flowing foliage.
Eden + Bell is a brand new boutique flower shop on Surry Hills’ buzzing Crown Street, and while most petal-filled stores around the grounds are boasting rustic upon rustic stems of goodness, this newbie is bringing life back to florals that ooze all things elegant, classic, old world class and romantic. In other words, the kind of stuff that never goes out of style.
Beyond Eden + Bell is the completely smitten duo, Sophie and Dom Geisser, a stylist and builder respectively. The two have a rep for being slightly obsessed with making florals, rooms, tables, spaces, and anything and everything, as beautiful and lush as they can possibly be and that stands for the incredible shopfront and interior too.
“We are all about the experience. From the moment you walk in our door—the process of buying flowers or booking in a wedding or event should be refreshing, inspiring, and as easy as possible,” says Sophie. “You should get just as much joy from giving flowers as you should from receiving them. We tell everyone who comes in our doors to come back any time and just enjoy the flowers and the space we have created, we even have chairs for people to sit down and enjoy!”
The pair source all of Eden + Bells flowers from specific growers at Sydney’s flower markets, which they hit three times a week to ensure quality.
“We usually always have a mixture of roses, orchids, natives, and whatever is in season and amazing” says Sophie.
On the flower delivery side of things, you’re in for eight winning bouquet combos which includes everything from fresh and colourful bunches to more neutral and preserved stems. And the good news is that Eden + Bell does same-day delivery too.
“Our Colour Bomb arrangement has been the most popular bouquet, it's bursting with bright fresh flowers and will definitely bring a smile to your face,” she adds.
“We also have an extensive range of dried and preserved flowers and foliage in really lovely earthy colours—mustards, dusty blushes, browns and whites, and they have been really popular.”
Eden + Bell also stocks a whole range of locally sourced bits and pieces like lip conditioners, chocolate, body oil, and even a range of hand-poured candles from Studio Billie (which sold out in the shop’s first two weeks). If that wasn’t enough, from every bouquet that gets purchased, Eden + Bell directs $2 towards the not-for-profit charity known as Compassion, which creates initiatives to help children in poverty across the world.
On top of this, Eden + Bell also takes on some genius creative vision for weddings and events with big arrangements in mind.
