EKOLUV
“Women buy about 27kgs of clothing a year and throw away about 23kgs of that amount away per year,” says EKOLUV founder Emily Kate Symes. Woah.
Emily, a model and now entrepreneur, took her passion for all things fashion and sustainability to the next level in 2012 when she launched EKOLUV online—and now has this expanded to a physical boutique in Paddington. The brand is employing a crazy amount of sustainable and ethical fashion practices which has earned them the credit of being Australia’s first zero waste sustainable dress hire and consignment boutique.
Between only using recycled paper, a carbon neutral website and donating their old stock to charity, to name a few, the turtles are definitely cheering about this one.
We’re super excited to play dress up with the hiring service provided by EKOLUV as part of their mission for recycling fashion. The best part is, it’s a fraction of the price of buying it yourself. So, when you’re feeling like stepping it up a notch, why not borrow rather than buy your Gucci.
Yep, you can get Gucci. You'll find Valentino, Off-White, Dion Lee and more to satisfy all your designer cravings. And for those of us who just can’t live without some staple standouts, never fear. You can give pre-loved designer consignment pieces a new home or even browse some of the sustainable/eco-friendly brands on offer.
Open by appointment only. Book your visit here.
