The white-washed dancefloor at Eros bar in Potts Point.

Taking over the famous Bayswater Brasserie spot in Potts Point, Eros is a Greek Islands-inspired late-night lounge bar, dishing out Greek meze, fun cocktails, a killer bottomless brunch, and maximum good vibes.

Here, the dancefloor flows into the lounge and bar, meaning Eros fits into the fun new category of restaurant we're starting to see pop up everywhere: the "clubstaurant".

The interiors have been inspired by iconic Mykonos beach club, Scorpios—think whitewashed stone walls with backlit cutouts in organic shapes, stoneware, bamboo furniture, and a ceiling of melted candle wax above the dancefloor.

To eat, you can opt for light snacks like fried olives, spanakopita fingers, or an ultra-fresh watermelon and ouzo salad. For something heavier, "The Eros" plate involves lamb, chicken, or kofta skewers with a side of pita bread, chips, salad, and tzatziki. A seafood platter comes heaped with oysters, Moreton Bay bugs, WA lobster tails, and more.

Got a crew together? Go in on a whole pig or lamb spit roast, served with Greek salad, pita bread, and Greek cut chips (available for a minimum of 15 people, at $90 per person). Finally, you need to save room for Eros' loukoumades—moreish Greek-style honey-dipped doughnuts.

Parga Beach is the inspo for the flavours of the cocktail menu—with most taking their name from a Greek god or goddess. The Apollo is light and citrusy, with Patron and Triple Sec; the Aphrodite is a mix of Grey Goose, rosewater, and strawberries. There's a Grecian Espresso Martini, made with Ouzo Meltemi and a Mastica spritz with pineapple juice.

Eros is absolutely a place for a dance, with owner Ussi Moniz Da Silva keen to bring back a bit of Bayswater Road's late-night era. Open until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays, resident DJs spin R&B and hip-hop in the front room, while the grotto-like backroom will play Greek Island-style disco house. Live music is also on the agenda at Eros.

As for the bottomless brunch program, expect a standing-style brunch every Saturday, with endless Greek-style canapés, passionfruit martinis, beer, and wine. Two sessions are available (12pm - 2pm and 2.30 - 4.20pm). More info is here
