The verdict

Aptly named, Folonoma comes from the expression ‘for love not money’ and since they donate 100% of their profits to not-for-profit organisations, they are definitely living up to their name. 

Operating alongside their big sister Gratia, this restaurant and art gallery in Surry Hills celebrates Australia’s diverse multiculturalism through their lovingly curated menu of ocean trout tartare, rabbit croquette and sunflower kernel risotto (to name only a few). Plus, to encourage even more community spirit, they also hold events, art exhibitions and classes with all profits donated to a great cause.
