The Verdict:
Slingers of pizza, pasta and other Italian deliciousness, Fratelli Fresh has just opened a mammoth new restaurant in Darling Harbour.
This is the eighth, and by far the biggest, outpost of Fratelli Fresh. Located below the ICC Sydney Theatre, it weighs in at a cool 1,100 square metres and seats over 550 people, including 100 seats outside in its beer garden. So yes, it’s big.
This one is a bit different from their other restaurants, which means you’ll be ordering at the counter, then you’ll have to decide which area you’d like to settle in. This FF is also home to Australia’s first dedicated Campari bar, serving cocktails, spritzes and negroni like it’s nobody’s biz.
And, considering the size of the space, there’s room for a games corner for adults (ahem, kidults) too. So if you like your penne with a side of ping pong, or your fusilli with a bit of foosball, look no further. Plus, this Fratelli Fresh is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week, so you’ll never be far from a big bowl o’ pasta
To celebrate their opening on Friday 25 May, Fratelli Fresh is cutting some sweet coffee deals. The first 2,500 customers to buy a coffee (they use beans roasted by the coffee geniuses over at Mecca) will snag a Fratelli Fresh-edition KeepCup. This will then score you $1 KeepCup coffees for the first 30 days, and then $2.50 coffees thereafter. And if you’re a breakfast customer, you’ll also receive $1 coffees for the first 30 days. Coffee for $1? Well, that’s us sold.
