Revered for its authentic Italian dishes and long list of dependable cocktails, Fratelli Fresh Macquarie Park is dark, delicious and their sultriest venue yet.

Located smack-bang in the middle of Sydney’s CBD, Fratelli Fresh Macquarie Street has become a popular basement haunt for inner-city workers, locals and visitors – and it's not hard to see why. With its crimson carpet, exposed brick walls, green leather couches and wood-fired oven warming the space, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’re no longer in Australia.

This year, Fratelli Fresh is hosting a four-course 'Long Table Series' across Sydney, showcasing all the feels and flavours of Italy, and Fratelli Fresh Macquarie Street will play host to their Milan spread. Oh, and did we mention the ‘Long Table Series’ includes bottomless cocktails, beer, wine and bubbles?! All for $79pp! IDK, we might be able rise to the challenge (and by might be able to, we mean most definitely will).

Fratelli Fresh’s Head Chef, Gabor Denes, says he has one goal: To offer guests a genuine Italian experience without having to leave their home town. “Each region of Italy delivers its own vibrant flavours of produce and we want that to shine through in the ‘Long Table Series’ menus.”

Now, when it comes to Macquarie Street’s Milan spread, a word of warning: It’s probably best to eat lightly in the lead up to this baby because this four-course dinner is everything and more. An homage to Milan’s rich flavours and succulent protein, Denes’ heavenly menu is fit for an Italian qween! Sure, the salami Milanese antipasto board brimming with Italian olives and grissini is by far one of the best we’ve tried, but the hero of this sensational spread is without a doubt the ossobucco with gremolata. Resting on a bed of buttery risotto alla Milanese, the veal shin will melt in your mouth and honestly blow your mind. TBH, it’s fast becoming one of our fave Italian dishes.

There’s no denying Fratelli Fresh’s Milan menu with bottomless drinks is a fabulous way to spend an evening in the city after dark – however, don’t let your busy diary discourage you. If you can’t make it, Fratelli Fresh Macquarie Street is open for both lunch and dinner, and their too-hard-to-choose menu is fit to rival the most authentic Italian ristorantes. Oh, and did we mention they have a $5 (not a typo!) happy hour from 4pm 'til 6pm during the week, which includes espresso martinis, Aperol spritz and negronis?! You're welcome.

If you’re looking to get the gang together soon, don’t forget the 6 Ps of planning: pizza, pasta, parmesan, prosciutto, prawns and prosecco!
