These guys have collected a heap of awards, giving them the reputation of Australia’s best seafood restaurant. Their philosophy is simple, they serve the freshest fish, exactly the way you like it prepared, which sounds like a pretty good deal to us. The blackboard at Garfish is constantly changing, featuring only the freshest market fish sourced that morning.

And the best thing about this Crows Nest delight? They’re open breakfast, lunch and dinner. For your morning cravings order anything from your staple poached, fried or scrambled eggs to a prawn quesadilla with lime and coriander or even their deluce spanner crab omelette featuring chipotle and charred corn salsa.

The lunch and dinner menu is something else. Grazing options are a gourmet haven with jerk spiced crispy chickpeas and black sesame flat-bread with house made taramasalata on the menu. And dinner serves up seafood with a classy twist. There’s your classic fish and chips with tartare and lemon but the snapper pie with roast garlic, broccolini and soubise sauce is a major stand out. And if that’s not enough, the smoked cape grim brisket with salt and vinegar chips.
