The verdict

This Italian restaurant in Sydney is all about authentic cuisine with a modern twist. You'll be spoiled for choice at Gemelle with a range of pizzas, pastas, and mains all on offer. 

To start, we recommend their antipasti misti for two, which comes with arancini balls, fried mozzarella, crumbed Sicilian olives stuffed with goats cheese, salt and pepper calamari, grilled king prawns, zucchini flowers, prosciutto, fresh buffalo mozzarella and pane fresco with olive oil and balsamic vinegar – whew! Now that is one hell of an antipasti board.

On the mains side of things (if you can fit it in after your entree), the house made pasta and gnocchi are real winners, with each dish coming recommended with a particular wine... how convenient. 

If you're dining in a group, request the private dining room which has a window which peers right into the kitchen and is arguably the best spot in the house.
