The Verdict
What do you get when you cross years of international experience as a chef and legit Italian heritage? The damn delicious Gigino Italian restaurant in Sydney’s Fairfield West. The authentic, homely vibe makes sense, the restaurant dishes up hearty home-style meals, in a rustic yet refined dining space.
We can’t go past the capricciosa pizza, topped with salty anchovies, artichokes, olives, and capers or the bufalina and crudo pizza which is nails the classically simple combination of mozzarella and prosciutto (one of our faves, TBH). Daily pasta specials are also a thing here and they’ll only succeed in making your decision more difficult. It’s worth mentioning that the delish menu is just the beginning, as Gigino’s cocktails will only set you back a cheeky $12 each, and in our opinions, that’s a pretty damn good deal.
Gigino wants their diners to feel like they’ve just eaten at their Nonna’s house, and we think they nail it. Plus, they also serve all you can eat pizza and pasta on Monday nights, and now we know you can’t resist.
