The Verdict

Wetherill Park is home to one of Sydney’s most adorable and quirky Italian restaurants, Grano. Combining a whole lot of brick, wall and hanging plants, exposed lighting and a miss-match of furniture, Grano is designed to feel welcoming and homely. One look at the menu, and you’ll know that you’ve come to the right place—for delicious Italian food, that is. The salads here are not your ordinary salads, with bocconccini wrapped in lightly fried speck (now we’re talking), topped with rocket and balsamic. Other top picks are the slow roasted duck pomodoro gnocchi, or the wood-fired Italian sausage, cooked with olives, zucchini and prosciutto, because there’s no such thing as too much cured meat. 

The deliciousness doesn’t stop there people, with sweet pizzas topped with things like ricotta, raw honey and almond, or Nutella, mascarpone and whipped banana. Heaven really does exist, and it exists in Wetherill Park.
