The Verdict

Market regulars, GVB, has finally found their forever home in Newtown and for those of you playing at home—that means you’ll be scoffing their VEGAN Greek baked everything on the daily. It’s actually amazing that they’ve managed to nail all your favourite goodies without adding the requisite (until now) cheese, cream and, well, more cheese. Moussaka, bougatsa and spanakopita are all on the menu and they look just like the original.

In addition to the sweets, they’re also serving up coffee from Flying Pig and, because this is a dairy-free zone, you can be sure they know their way around a solid almond and soy coffee. Oh yeah, morning tea just got even better. 

If you’ve been hitting up Sydney’s Vegan Market, then you’d already be all over GVB but we’re pretty stoked that we don’t have to wait for the monthly market to swing around to get out Greek fix. 

Bonus points for anyone who can figure out what GVB stands for.
