The Verdict
Canley Vale’s Hai Au is always packed to the brim with hungry patrons. Chefs carefully barbecue whole fish and chicken wrapped in banana leaf, and the aroma constantly fills this Sydney restaurant. There are plenty of traditional soups and steamboats on the menu, but the barbecue is not-to-be-missed. Budding chefs can cook-your-own bo la lop nuong, grill beef skewers on your table’s grill and of course, try your hand at the art of rice paper rolls.
