The Verdict

Known as the home of chicken wings, High Street Social in Penrith is your go-to for a good ol’ greasy feed. Whether you’re dining in or pigging out at home (no judgement) be sure to grab one of the signature burgers. There’s the social experiment (as good as it sounds), loaded with not one but SIX Waygu beef patties, six slices of American cheese, crispy bacon, and more cheese, but in stick form. Yep, as if the six slices of cheese weren’t enough. 

If that sounds a little too terrifying, then maybe turn your attention to the more manageable part of the menu where there are more normal-sized burgers like the Noah’s Ark. This one embraces the foolproof and classic-for-a-reason combination of crispy bacon, egg, cheese, and BBQ sauce. 

As for the wings, High Street Social have committed to the cause so they do them six ways, from the classic smokey BBQ to honey mustard, right through to insanely hot. Our hot tip is to bring a crowd, grab a burg’ and some wings, then spend up big on the sides menu. Loaded waffle fries are a go, which means one thing—fried potato goodness topped with either hot and tangy cheese sauce or slow cooked pulled pork. 

If you’re heading to greater western Sydney (Blue Mountains road trip, anyone?!) a pit stop to High Street Social is mandatory ‘cause there’s no better road trip feast than a burg and wings feast TBH.
