The verdict

Hugh John Manors in Engadine is a café run by a husband and wife team that are serious #relationshipgoals. Located next to their own Drumroll Coffee Roasting facilities and One Off Studio, a space for creative with writing and ceramics workshops. The three storefronts are housed in an original ‘60s corner shop, making it warm and inviting with high ceilings and comfortable layouts. 

The all-day menu at Hugh John Manors is fresh and original with lip-smacking chicken-and-nectarine salads spritzed with toasted macadamia nuts, and some delicious sambo options. The peanut butter cookies are a favourite amongst the locals, as well as the fresh smoothies and interesting juices available all day. Having your own coffee Roaster next door has it perks: seriously good coffee is not a life choice, it’s a lifestyle. The blend of the month is made of Ethiopian, Timorese and Guatemalan beans, that combine the old-school methods with new experiments.
