The Verdict

A brand spankin’ new modern Australian bar and kitchen, Husk and Vine is a must-try in Parramatta. The ethos of Husk and Vine is creating food influenced by the multicultural personality of Greater Western Sydney and they’ve absolutely nailed it—think all of the Middle Eastern meets Mediterranean flavours.

Breakfast is far from ordinary here, with the fig and raisin sourdough toast for starters, burrata and pickled baby fig as the perfect lunchtime starter, plus a biodynamic brown rice bowl with fried eggs, mushrooms, soy, chili and greens for any time of day. Husk and Vine have installed a customised beech oven to create their signature flatbreads on the daily, and roast chicken and lamb for maximum flavour.

For dinner, we have our eyes on the swordfish crudo with fresh pops of grapefruit, spicy pink peppercorn and white balsamic, but you better believe that our hangry alter egos will be all over the lamb shoulder with super spicy (in a good way) harissa, okra and chickpea stew. If you plan on eating dinner at Husk and Vine, staying the night and going for breakfast and lunch again at the restaurant—we certainly don’t blame you.
