An evolution of popular Enmore restaurant Hartsyard, Irene's is a neighbourhood eatery serving an ever-updated menu of playful food with a strong Indian influence.

Hailing from Mumbai, chef Neville Dsouza is pulling from his memories of his aunt, Irene, who cooked up a mean Sunday lunch that brought the entire family together—much like Irene's hopes to do for Enmore locals.

Expect nostalgic, produce-driven food effortlessly blending Indian touches and modern techniques, like curried potato-stuffed zucchini flowers a la Bombay, ginger and garlic prawns with garlic cream and wild rice crumb, and a banging goat curry using cuts from a whole goat that's delivered weekly and spun into a variety of dishes throughout the week.

Drinks include a tidy selection of wines and beers, plus a must-try Brix Distillers rum-spiked mango lassi—perfect for a hot day or liquid dessert.
