The Verdict
Ok, so if you’re looking for a quality meal that’s simple and unpretentious? Jack & Knife is offering just that.
The concept behind Stanley Street's newest gem revolved around all things sharing and that stretches across food, bottles and stories (obviously). Yep, these guys went out and you lot what you wanted and the response came back largely as "just good food" and they've gone and done just that. Legitimately.
Jack & Knife is preaching everything slow-cooked, meaty, wood-fired, smokey and cured (because what's a neighbourhood gem without some setllar seafood?). On the drinks front, there's a bunch of international beers, local crafts and some sneaky Mexican mule. This place is perfect for bringing your mates who love a no-frills approach to food and solid feed.
To sum it all up, the entire menu is a sure-fire win but our resident sweet tooth is shouting out the cookies and cream ‘no bake’ cheesecake for obvious reasons.
