The verdict

There are already some damn fine burgers in Sydney. Adding to the growing list of excellent places you can get your burg' on is Jack's Newtown. The excitement around this restaurant in Sydney is borderline hysterical with lines pouring outside the door and down the road. Clearly, Sydney loves a good burger.

The burgers here are the closest thing you'll get to Shake Shack in Australia, which is probably the reason for the mass hysteria. There are only two burger offerings on the menu - a cheeseburger (add bacon and onion if you wish) and a vegetarian one. Of course, a burger isn't complete without fries and the fries here are similar to what you would find at the US Shake Shack: wonderfully moreish crinkle-cut fries.

If you're any kind of burger aficionado, get your burger loving butt down to Jack's Newtown, stat.
