Kefi Greek Tavern is taking the best Greek food in Sydney out of yia yia’s kitchen and on to the streets. This Kingsgrove restaurant is focused on doing classic Greek food, as it should be – cooked openly and publicly, deliberately kept simple, affordable and people-friendly.
Long wooden tables are stacked with carb-loading families and couples, keen for a taste of their 48-skewer souvlaki grill. The gyros are some of the best in Sydney, but make sure you save room for dessert, with classics like baklava and loukoumades made to perfection.
