The Verdict

There's no such thing as too much sashimi, which is why we couldn't be more excited about the arrival of Kenny Rens on Queen Street in Woollahra. The trendy new Japanese eatery features a sashimi bar and robata grill, so you can stuff yourself silly with only the freshest raw fish every night of the week.

If you're after something a little more substantial order a poke bowl (we told you it was trendy) or the Wagyu Beef (think wagyu tri tip, mushroom salad, amadare sauce, nama wasabi, garlic chips, baby shiso) for all of the flavour.

It doesn't stop at food either. With an extensive whiskey and sake offering, the cocktails are just as good so order your main with a side of the Akum (aka blood orange juice, agave, Suntory Hibiki Distillers Reserve and jalapeno) or Cherry Blossom (aka cherry brandy, orange curaco, lemon, grenadine, IWIA non traditional whiskey) to guarantee yourself a good time.

The sushi bar at Kenny Rens is open daily from 11am to 8pm.
