Kin Dining and Bar explores the Japanese and Peruvian flavours of Nikkei cuisine, headed by ex-Sunset Sabi chef Peter Wu.
The Marrickville restaurants boasts a menu packed with culinary innovations and collisions of flavour, highlighted through locally sourced Australian produce served in a fun yet elevated dining space.
You might have heard it's adults only—but kids are welcome for lunch on weekends, with an 18+ rule coming into play after 5pm only.
Top picks from the menu include corn ribs with miso butter, togarashi and macadamia snow; roasted bone marrow with olive butter, salsa verde and parmesan served with toasted sourdough; Jervis Bay mussel casarecce with verde cream and tobiko; and pan-fried Wollemi duck with corn puree and chimichurri.
Kin’s seasonal cocktail menu offers complementary summery notes, particularly their signature The Kin: a vodka-based creation infused with pineapple, salted caramel and agave syrup, and the Oji Mojito with spiced rum, vanilla, passionfruit, mint and yuzu.
Set menus start at $69pp, and a weekend lunch set menu with bottomless yuzu spritzes is also available for $79pp.
The intimate, 75-seat venue is industrial but charming, inviting guests to unwind in its contemporary interior marked with subtle yet striking elements of gold throughout.
