The verdict
ICYMI, Kensington Street in Chippendale is fast becoming a foodie hub of Sydney. KYO-TO is a Japanese restaurant which is influenced by the culture and vibe of Kyoto (hence the name) and is the first small restaurant to open up shop in Spice Alley. With two distinct areas, you'll find an intimate dining space in one of the old terrace houses and another space in an external courtyard.
KYO-TO serves up casual Japanese food including steaming bowls of ramen, hot or cold udon and tasty tasty dons that make it a perfect choice for a quick meal post work or pre-uni lecture (or anywhere in between for that matter). The internal dining room offers a greater selection of dishes and we suggest you get in on the takoyaki (octopus balls) and okonomiyaki (Japanese pancakes).
