The verdict

The Hills is the gift that keeps on giving. New suburbs are popping up on the reg and we don’t mind one bit. Not when it means we have even more cafés to brunch at errry weekend (don’t mind if we damn well do). Leaf Café & Co fits the bill, sitting in a brand new complex in North Kellyville. And the great news is that their menu is on point. 

Our top picks for brunch are either the big breakfast, or smoked salmon bruschetta. This bad boy involves all the tomatoes, fetta and (you guessed it) smoked salmon on toast. Follow that one up with a coffee and your morning is set. 

But if you’re heading here for lunch, we suggest you go all out. We’re tackling life’s big issues on this one—the choice between a big, fat braised lamb shoulder burger or the signature burger. Both are monsters, in the best way, with crumbed chevre, zesty beetroot relish, ruby chard, caramelised onion, walnut aioli and your choice of braised lamb shoulder of a beef patty.
