The Verdict
It’s finally happened. After a handful of years operating as a pop up shop in the leafy streets of Surry Hills, Little Succers has left its roots, so to speak, and made the big leap over the pond to greener pastures. We’re talking about a permanent terrarium studio right in the heart of Neutral Bay.
If you’re a fiend for indoor plants, you’ll be well across the deal at Little Succers. The team here is famous for their cute same-day succulent gift delivery, and for hosting Sydney’s very own build-your-own-terrarium class every couple of months.
Little Succers' new permanent home in North Sydney means you’ll be able to hit up these workshops a whole lot more now.
The new studio, from the design to the build, is the brainchild of Little Succers founder Tara Shelton. A neon sign in the front window preaches Little Succers' motto, "because flowers die" and inside, there's a hand-painted succulent mural. Yep, these guys are pretty serious about cacti. It pretty much feels like you’ve walked straight into a terrarium candy shop where pebbles, pink sand, and soil get served up in lolly jar self-serve containers.
As for how it works, workshops will run every fortnight, but the space will also be open for private bookings for parties, hens celebrations, and even for you and your work crew. The classes will teach you how to build your very own terrarium and you’ll be able to customise everything from the vase and the layers to the individual plants and quirky decorations.
