The Verdict

Far from the school lunchbox staple, the guys at Loaf Sandwiches have reinvented the trusty sanga in ways you (let’s be real) never would have thought of yourself. House-made is their mantra, and anything they simply couldn’t produce on-site is sourced locally.

You’ll be thankful for this one since their beans are from local legends, White Horse, chai is by Mr. Woods, and their sweet, sweet baked goods are made by the owner’s own grandma

These guys are serious about their sandwiches (the place is called Loaf after all) and that all starts with the bread. That’s where you come in. You’ll be choosing between Sonoma sourdough, Groundbake GF bread and thick-cut bread from Cronulla Bakehouse. From there, it’s all about the fillings. A couple of our faves are the bacon and egg roll which is dripping in smoky barbeque sauce, or the simple but oh-so-delicious ham, cheese and tomato toastie with truffle oil. Truffle oil makes everything better.
