Luho
The Verdict
Bringing quirky good-times to the North Shore dining scene is the new South-East Asian inspired eatery Luho. That basically means you’re in for easy eating, hawker-style dishes and delicious cocktails.
Former Mama’s Buoi chef Dennis Tan has doused the menu in his Malaysian heritage to create plates packed with mod-Asian delights including prawn and wonton tacos topped with mango and chilli (a must) or roti wraps filled with beef curry. If you’re a vegetarian at heart, you’ll also be covered with a decadent plant-based menu pumped with meat-free bites like XO pumpkin and cauliflower with burnt butter and eggplant jam.
Moving on over to the bar and we won’t lie, their cocktails have got an Asian flare that’ll bring about a new experience for your taste buds. Have them sling out a Thai basil smash, mixed with basil-infused gin, lime and PS bush tonic. Or, for fruitier times, order up the Quandong spritz, made up of dry vermouth, quandong, wattle seed, cardamom and citrus.
