The Verdict
Mary’s Pitt Street is a glorious culmination of all the Mary’s venues that have come before it. Sporting a menu with all the classics from its firstborn in Newtown (Mary’s Burgers, cheeseburgers, fried chicken, mash and gravy) and vegan feeds inspired by its underground joint in Circular Quay, this city venue is the rough and tough little sister of Mary’s other CBD outpost.
At this one, the wine list is a heavy-hitter having been curated by Mary’s wine director Caitlyn Rees. It features over 30 varieties to get excited about. On the cocktail front, it’s all things rum-based leading the line-up, but you can still find staples like a spicy margarita and espresso martini.
Unlike its older siblings, Mary’s Pitt Street actually has the option to takeaway, dine-in, or book a table for a party of 8-60 people so you can start locking in any imminent carb-loading fests with your mates. You’ll also be in for all the padded seating and enough blues and rock ‘n’ rock to really get the chandeliers swinging.
