The Verdict
Meylissa Yusuf swapped her suit for her apron and opened up her first patisserie Miam in Pyrmont. Having served her time in the kitchen at Zumbo Rozelle and Cheeky Chocolate, this hole in the wall is serving up finger-licking deserts with an Asian twist. Her signature is a black-sesame tart with a creamy vanilla and chocolate center, as well as a green tea slice with layers of green tea, brown-roasted rice cream and Chantilly mascarpone.
She has grand plans to start a proper breakfast menu, but for the moment, we’re pretty happy with the croissants, burnt-butter choc-chips and fruit pies that just seem to waft up everyday from the kitchen.
