The verdict

The Sydney king of coffee has recently opened up a small café (and when we say small we mean hole in the wall small) called Neighbourhood. This pleasant little shop is owned by Sean McManus, whom some of you may know from Single Origin Roasters or Artificer in Surry Hills. He has also won many awards for his coffee making abilities, which pretty much gives him god-like qualities in the coffee world. 

If you like to have a little snack with your coffee, definitely try one of the Penny Fours croissants and be sure to order the rich, dark, melted chocolate to dip it into it... It is something we think everyone should experience. 

As well as making coffee that is the real deal, they also make a vegan hot chocolate with vanilla-spiked oat milk, which is poured over melted chocolate right in front of your eyes. We hope Sean’s ready, because this Surry Hills cafe is soon to become everyone’s favourite place to get their morning hit.
