NOMAD Sydney in Surry Hills celebrates 10 years in September 2023, offering the winning combination of a unique menu cooked over fire and smoke, an exciting wine program, and excellent hospitality seven days a week from its elegant Foster Street restaurant.

A wood-roasted mushroom and bone marrow empanada remains a steadfast must-try on head chef Jacqui Challinor’s menu, on which the strongest overtone is Middle Eastern flavours like date, Persian lime and harissa presented in simple but enticing dishes.

The house-cured charcuterie (which might include trout pastirma, Wagyu pastrami and duck mortadella) is also a mainstay at NOMAD restaurant, and the beloved olive oil ice cream sandwich is the perfect way to end.

The extensive wine list showcases the best Australian wines, with a preference for organic and sustainable practices. Local labels are joined by distinctive international bottles including grower champagne, and premium noble grape varietals that best express terroir. NOMAD’s cocktails echo the Middle Eastern elements in the kitchen, with Australian ingredients including Okar, Davidson plum bitters and macadamia.

Equally perfect for an intimate date night or a bigger shared meal with your crew, you can book at the kitchen counter overlooking the fire, in the spacious dining room, or in the private dining room, the wine cave, for up to 26.
